Bailey Buchanan is a PhD student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education where she studies the intersection of linguistics and education in multilingual contexts. Her research explores language and literacy development throughout the school years, linguistically affirming instructional practices, and sense of belonging in immigrant-origin students. She has held previous roles as a Spanish Preceptor at Harvard University, first-grade dual language immersion teacher, and instructional coach for bilingual educators. Bailey holds a master’s degree in Language and Literacy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a bachelor’s degree in Spanish Linguistics from Texas A&amp;M University.
