 Nicole Paulet Piedra, Ed.M. in International Education Policy, Harvard Graduate School of Education, Director of Content at *Laboratório de Educação* and Research Project Coordinator for the *Aprender a Estudar* professional development program funded by the Lemann Foundation. Originally from Peru, Nicole is an alumna of the United World Colleges movement and a graduate of Harvard College, where she completed a B.A. magna cum laude with Highest Honors in Social Studies and a Secondary Concentration in Portuguese. She is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society and was a recipient of a Thomas Hoopes Prize for Excellence in Research. Since 2013, she works as coordinator of several projects at *Laboratório de Educação*, a Brazilian nonprofit dedicated to the production of applicable educational knowledge.
