Manar Hazzaa

Manar is an Egyptian award-winning children’s book author. She is currently a postgraduate researcher at the University of Leeds, UK. Her research focuses on studying attitudes and behaviors of adult readers when reading picture books to children. Hazzaa is interested in learning more about family wellbeing, home literacy environments, shared-reading interventions, and their interplay with early literacy acquisition. She holds a Master of International Education Policy degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Master of Anthropology from the American University in Cairo.
